Tragedy
“I walked toward Johnny, took both his hands, and said, ‘Someone murdered Uriah last night’.” “I felt such pain as I watched his eyes bulge as he silently took in the news, and then I watched him slowly slide down the wall to the floor, crying out, ‘No! No! No!’”

Nancy quietly remained in the kitchen as she watched Debbie pace nervously around the kitchen. She could tell Debbie was mentally preparing what she was going to say when Johnny came through the door. Debbie was just hoping he would get home at his usual time and not hear the news on the way home. If he did, he would never make it home safely through the rush-hour traffic.
Fifteen long minutes later, Debbie heard Johnny’s truck drive up in the driveway. She heard his driver’s door slam. She felt her heart beating faster. How was she going to tell him? She instantly felt the dread of what she was about to do: tell the person she loved the worst thing he would ever hear in his life, that someone had killed Uriah.
Johnny came through the door and said, “Hi, Deb,” but he stopped short when he saw the look on her face. ”What is the matter, did something happen to you?” Debbie looked down as tears streamed down her face, and then Johnny knew that something was terribly wrong. Debbie relived that awful moment: “I walked toward Johnny, took both his hands, and said, ‘Someone murdered Uriah last night’.” “I felt such pain as I watched his eyes bulge as he silently took in the news, and then I watched him slowly slide down the wall to the floor, crying out, ‘No! No! No!’”
